Karen Goh and Managing Director, Dr. Wilson Goh with Sirona VP
World Sales, Mr. Jorg Vogel, Sirona Area Sales Manager, Mr.
Peter Roessling) |
With the latest CEREC acquisition units, Team GPA patients can now
expect safer and faster ceramic tooth restorations done in a single
visit. A signing ceremony between Team GPA directors and Sirona,
Germany was held at Raffles Hotel to commemorate this milestone in
Singapore’s dental industry.
The benefits for patients from the CEREC AC are the most apparent when
they undergo tooth restorations. The treatment option often offered
is crowning. Crowning may involve extensive removal of the patient’s
natural tooth structure. With the CEREC AC technology, dentists at
Team GPA will be able to make better diagnoses of patients’
conditions and offer the best treatment options.
Combining with the expertise of other cutting-edge technology that
Team GPA has introduced in its practise over the years, patients at
Team GPA can expect less intrusive treatments like inlays and
onlays, instead of crowns. The original CEREC 3D system which is
widely used by Team GPA since 2002, has seen patients receiving 70%
less crowns, resulting in less discomfort and shortened treatment
time with fewer complications. With the latest CEREC AC, patients
can look forward to even more precise treatments at a faster speed.
Patient comfort is also greatly increased because there is no need for
our dentist to take an impression, or mould, from patients. The
CEREC AC Bluecam can accurately take a 3D image down to 19 microns,
ensuring a precise image. With this technology, Team GPA can promise
patients faster, efficient and more comfortable dental treatments.
Team GPA has also been appointed as a global reference site for the
CEREC AC unit. As a global reference site for the CEREC AC Digital
Impression Unit, Team GPA will conduct training for industry peers,
in accordance with its long-standing efforts in raising the bar in
dentistry in Singapore. As the first in Singapore to acquire the
CEREC 3D system in 2002, Team GPA has handled more than 10,000 cases
and has all three internationally-recognized certified CEREC
trainers of Singapore working exclusively in its team.
Team GPA also received a congratulatory note from the Singapore
Economic Board. The EDB’s director of Biomedical Sciences, Mr. Beh
Kian Teik says,
“We celebrate Team GPA’s appointment as Sirona’s first global
reference site for its latest digital imaging technology – CEREC AC.
This announcement is a strong endorsement of Singapore’s
high-quality dental practice and will further enhance Singapore’s
position as Asia’s leading medical hub”.
